ANCIENT LORE VILLAGE WEDDING
I’m a little late in posting this, but I just wanted to say how much I loved shooting Gabriella and Caden’s wedding at Ancient Lore Village in South Knoxville, TN. A little background first.
Straight from the source at AncientLoreVillage.com - Founder and President, Tom Boyd, had a vision: Create a place where characters from different worlds could live together in peace and harmony in a place where only good, genuine goodness, exists. This was the beginning of what is now Ancient Lore Village, a boutique resort and event venue that specializes in Fairytale weddings, executive retreats, private parties, group tours, special celebrations, and bringing people together.

Anyways, I felt like this was such a great spot if you are planning a smaller to medium sized wedding in Knoxville, TN. It isn’t too far off the beaten path making it easy to find. The village is laid out like a tiny hobbit town, with spots to do archery, axe throwing, hitting golf balls, and more. But don’t worry, you are allowed to wear shoes.
There is plenty of parking for guests and the staff is so great! They help guide you through the village with golf carts and explain everything without being stuck up your butt.
As for couples, there are a few different spots for ceremonies, but the one they chose was an outdoor spot with tons of room, hidden away on top of a little forestry filled hill/mountain. There are alot of light leaks through the trees, which can be a blessing and a curse.
There are endless areas to take photos with a wide variety of backdrops. This can actually be an issue with a lot of smaller venues, but not here.
I believe that they are building yurts and other little sleeping huts, so they are only adding to accommodations.
The only negative that I experienced was through the DJ. He wasn’t loving the spot that they set him when it came to the dancing portion of the day. It was a little strange because they had him on the other side of a stone wall from the dance area, so I don’t think that he felt very engaged.
All in all I will say that this wedding was a TON of fun and the guests had such a great experience. There were tons of activites that kept them busy during each transition and most everyone got pretty tanked on booze, haha.
Thank you again to Gabriella and Caden for letting me hang out and experience Ancient Lore Village with you.
Here is a link to a few photos from that wedding.
